The easiest hole on the course marks the half way stage and the elevated tee provides an opportunity to enjoy an excellent view of Halifax town centre in the valley to the east and Beacon Hill beyond. To the south east Emley Moor is the tallest self-supporting television mast in Britain - 361 yards high. The height factor affects judgement of distance and there is a temptation to overclub but many people find the large flat green and face a long putt for a birdie.
