The seventeenth runs down a steep hill parallel to Paddock Lane, a reminder of the racecourse that was on the land prior to the establishment of the Club in 1906. Aim to drive over or through the gap between the mounds and the green is within reach, although perhaps out of sight. This is one of only two holes with no bunkers, the other being the 10th, so going for the green is relatively risk-free. This may be your final chance to make up a shot before tackling the far harder final hole. |
